V roce 2013 zalo\u017eil politickou stranu se dv\u011bma c\u00edli: novelizovat \u00fastavu, \u010d\u00edm\u017e by se v podstat\u011b prom\u011bnila v rozs\u00e1hl\u00fd seznam p\u0159\u00e1n\u00ed, a vyvlastnit v\u00fdlu\u010dn\u00e1 rybolovn\u00e1 pr\u00e1va p\u0159id\u011blen\u00e1 majitel\u016fm ryb\u00e1\u0159sk\u00fdch plavidel od roku 1975 v pelagick\u00e9m rybolovu (sle\u010f, kapel\u00edn a makrela) a od roku 1983 v lovu p\u0159\u00edzemn\u00edch ryb (treska obecn\u00e1, halibut, okoun mo\u0159sk\u00fd, treska tmav\u00e1 a treska jednoskvrnn\u00e1). Jeho strana z\u00edskala m\u00e9n\u011b ne\u017e 2,5 procenta hlas\u016f a nez\u00edskala \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 mand\u00e1ty v parlamentu. Thorvaldur p\u0159ijal n\u011bkter\u00e9  <a href=\"https:\/\/hannesgi.blog.is\/blog\/hannesgi\/entry\/2255081\/\">podivn\u00e9 pozice<\/a>. Tvrd\u00ed nap\u0159\u00edklad, \u017ee Richard M. Nixon byl zapleten do atent\u00e1tu na Johna F. Hnut\u00ed \u201eNe\u201c, \u0159ekl, \u201ep\u0159ivezlo na Island \u0161v\u00fdcarsk\u00e9ho pr\u00e1vn\u00edka, o kter\u00e9m je zn\u00e1mo, \u017ee pracoval pro Putin\u016fv re\u017eim v Moskv\u011b a zastupoval rusk\u00e9ho oligarchu, kter\u00fd se sna\u017eil uniknout sankc\u00edm uvalen\u00fdm EU po rusk\u00e9 invazi na Ukrajinu.\u201c Dodal: \u201eJmenuje se Carl Baudenbacher.\u201c Thorvaldur uvedl n\u011bkolik nepravdiv\u00fdch tvrzen\u00ed. Zaprv\u00e9, Ragnar \u00c1rnason a j\u00e1, oba emeritn\u00ed profeso\u0159i Islandsk\u00e9 univerzity, jsme pozvali dr. Baudenbachera, mezin\u00e1rodn\u011b uzn\u00e1van\u00e9ho odborn\u00edka na evropsk\u00e9 pr\u00e1vo, na Island, aby p\u0159ednesl odbornou p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ku o EU. Univerzita v\u0161ak zru\u0161ila na\u0161i rezervaci p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161kov\u00e9ho s\u00e1lu, kdy\u017e hnut\u00ed \u201eNo Movement\u201c p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ku inzerovalo (jak jsme tomu s Ragnarem dali svolen\u00ed a jak tomu bylo v mnoha p\u0159edchoz\u00edch p\u0159\u00edpadech), a my jsme p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ku p\u0159esunuli jinam. Dr. Baudenbacher si za svou p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ku ne\u00fa\u010dtoval \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 poplatky a <a href=\"https:\/\/rse.is\">think tank<\/a>, kter\u00fd vedeme s Ragnarem, mu uhradil letenku a ubytov\u00e1n\u00ed.  <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u017d\u00e1dn\u00e1 souvislost s Putinem<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zadruh\u00e9, Dr. Baudenbacher nem\u00e1 s Vladimirem Putinem v\u016fbec \u017e\u00e1dnou spojitost. Islandsk\u00e1 spole\u010dnost V\u00e9lfag, zab\u00fdvaj\u00edc\u00ed se technologiemi pro zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed ryb, byla \u00fa\u0159ady sankcionov\u00e1na za to, \u017ee \u00fadajn\u011b m\u00e1 rusk\u00e9ho skryt\u00e9ho vlastn\u00edka, Vitalije Orlova. Spole\u010dnost toto tvrzen\u00ed d\u016frazn\u011b pop\u00edr\u00e1 a proti sankc\u00edm se odvolala k Dozorov\u00e9mu \u00fa\u0159adu ESVO. Na \u017e\u00e1dost islandsk\u00e9ho pr\u00e1vn\u00edho z\u00e1stupce spole\u010dnosti a se souhlasem islandsk\u00e9ho ministerstva zahrani\u010dn\u00edch v\u011bc\u00ed byl Dr. Baudenbacher jmenov\u00e1n jej\u00edm pr\u00e1vn\u00edm poradcem. To je v\u0161e. Nem\u00e1m pon\u011bt\u00ed o podstat\u011b tohoto p\u0159\u00edpadu, ale tato spole\u010dnost m\u00e1 jist\u011b pr\u00e1vo na pr\u00e1vn\u00ed zastoupen\u00ed. \u010cl\u00e1nek 6 Evropsk\u00e9 \u00famluvy o lidsk\u00fdch pr\u00e1vech toti\u017e toto z\u00e1kladn\u00ed pr\u00e1vo uzn\u00e1v\u00e1.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Island: Demokracie, ne oligarchie<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zat\u0159et\u00ed, Thorvaldur v rozhovoru tvrd\u00ed, \u017ee se Island stal oligarchi\u00ed ovl\u00e1danou majiteli nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch ryb\u00e1\u0159sk\u00fdch spole\u010dnost\u00ed. To je podivn\u00e9, vzhledem k velmi n\u00edzk\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edjmov\u00e9 nerovnosti na Islandu \u2013 pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b nejni\u017e\u0161\u00ed na sv\u011bt\u011b \u2013, zanedbateln\u00e9 chudob\u011b, dobr\u00e9mu d\u016fchodov\u00e9mu zabezpe\u010den\u00ed senior\u016f, vysok\u00e9 \u017eivotn\u00ed \u00farovni a dlouh\u00e9 demokratick\u00e9 tradici. V oligarchii by se takov\u00e9 v\u00fdsledky neo\u010dek\u00e1valy. Podle indexu lidsk\u00e9ho rozvoje OSN je Island ve skute\u010dnosti nejlep\u0161\u00edm m\u00edstem k \u017eivotu na sv\u011bt\u011b. P\u0159edn\u00ed islandsk\u00e9 ryb\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti jsou ekonomicky siln\u00e9, ale nemaj\u00ed politick\u00fd vliv. Nap\u0159\u00edklad pouze zlomek p\u0159\u00edjm\u016f politick\u00fdch stran poch\u00e1z\u00ed pr\u00e1v\u011b od nich. Naproti tomu proevropsk\u00e1 um\u00edrn\u011bn\u00e1 levice \u2013 k n\u00ed\u017e pat\u0159\u00ed i Thorvaldur Gylfason \u2013 ovl\u00e1d\u00e1 jak st\u00e1tn\u00ed rozhlas a televizi, tak univerzity, stejn\u011b jako v mnoha jin\u00fdch zem\u00edch.
