Tijekom posljednjeg sastanka Me\u0111uvladine konferencije (CIG), dvije su se zemlje zajedni\u010dki obvezale na napredak dugo raspravljane brze \u017eeljezni\u010dke veze i nastavak obustavljenog teretnog prometa \u017eeljezni\u010dkom autocestom (Afa) kroz tunel Fr\u00e9jus. Sporazum ozna\u010dava zna\u010dajnu prekretnicu u razvoju jednog od najve\u0107ih europskih infrastrukturnih projekata. Odluka CIG-a odra\u017eava dva paralelna prioriteta: dovr\u0161etak administrativnog postupka za cijeli prekograni\u010dni projekt i rje\u0161avanje kratkoro\u010dne logistike o\u017eivljavanjem intermodalnog \u017eeljezni\u010dkog teretnog prometa. Odobrenje odluke o izvr\u0161enju, koja je sada proslije\u0111ena Europskoj komisiji, u\u010dinkovito zaklju\u010duje postupke na nacionalnoj razini u Italiji i Francuskoj te dovodi projekt u kona\u010dnu fazu procjene na razini EU.    <\/p>\n<p>Prema Paolu Foietti, predsjedniku CIG-a, \u201eOvaj potez je temeljan za budu\u0107e sufinanciranje cijelog rada od strane EU, uklju\u010duju\u0107i nacionalne rute, a sada i urbana \u010dvori\u0161ta Torina i Lyona.\u201d Odluka o izvr\u0161enju dovr\u0161ava proces zapo\u010det 2020. i omogu\u0107uje potpuno priznavanje projekta kao dijela osnovne europske prometne mre\u017ee. Glavna zna\u010dajka sporazuma je obveza ponovnog pokretanja usluge Afa, koja omogu\u0107uje \u017eeljezni\u010dki prijevoz kamiona izme\u0111u Aitona (Francuska) i Orbassana (Italija). Ova \u017eeljezni\u010dka i autocesta bila je obustavljena zbog klizi\u0161ta na francuskoj strani Alpa i naknadnog dvogodi\u0161njeg zatvaranja teretne \u017eeljezni\u010dke pruge. Od tada nije bilo u funkciji alternativno intermodalno rje\u0161enje. \u201eOvom odlukom, i uz odobrenje Europske komisije za dr\u017eavne potpore, cilj nam je ponovno pokrenuti uslugu prijevoza tereta do listopada\u201d, objasnio je Foietta. Trenutno je iskopano 26% od ukupno 160 kilometara tunela. Maurizio Bufalini, zamjenik generalnog direktora TELT-a (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Torino), izvijestio je da je prvi od sedam strojeva za bu\u0161enje tunela, nazvan \u201eViviana\u201d, stigao na lokaciju Saint-Martin-la-Porte i da bi trebao po\u010deti s radom u rujnu. Osim toga, zapo\u010dele su operacije oblaganja na ulazu u tunel u Saint-Julien-Montdenisu, dok se tradicionalni iskop eksplozivom nastavlja na dva dijela tunela, koji se sada prote\u017eu otprilike 1700 metara od njihovih odgovaraju\u0107ih portala.    <\/p>\n<p>Na talijanskoj strani, u Chiomonteu, u tijeku su procjene utjecaja na okoli\u0161 na mjestu lansiranja jo\u0161 jednog stroja za bu\u0161enje tunela (TBM), \u010dija se isporuka o\u010dekuje 2026. godine. U me\u0111uvremenu, izgradnja novog \u010dvora na autocesti A32, klju\u010dnog za logisti\u010dki promet, bli\u017ei se zavr\u0161etku, a novi kamionski terminal u San Dideru tako\u0111er je u poodmakloj fazi. Ministarstvu su predani kona\u010dni planovi projekta za radove u nekoliko talijanskih gradova &#8211; Chiomonteu, Salbertrandu i Susi.
